I don't think it's a hard question, at all. This is a fellow Jew, and you're basically wishing his death because you don't like some of policies. He deserves our tehillim on the very basis that he is a fellow human being and jewish brother.
OC - I am most definitely not wishing him dead. I am simply not asking Gd to keep him alive on my account. I actually don't care if he lives or dies. He lived a long life, he was a great hero, and he was a strong leader. I just simply do not feel I need to pray for his recovery. By one praying for someone else they are putting a vested interest into the person, and asking Gd to reconsider and factor the prayee into the equation.
from a political angle, it's probably better for someone like you to prefer him to live. he's going to be in at least a semi-vegative state anyways. his death will bump kadima up a few sympathy notches in the polls, and whatever position they've lost now due to his incapacitation wont get any worse if he dies.
and the last thing the religious community needs is another chiloni backlash with all this "pulsa dinura" crap. read yaakov katz's article in jpost this week. if you want to not pray, fine. don't be an idiot and go announcing it over the internet.

OK, now I understand what you're saying. Sorry, it just didn't seem clear before. I admire your honesty. Sorry for sounding so harsh.
