My friend went to the store today and asked where the vegetables were grown. Don't worry the shop-keeper told her. They're from Jenin. Great. That's just what she wanted to hear. She's planning on living off of canned vegetables for the year. Not a bad idea...

She can still buy veggies. She just has to find growers who did a Hefker and sold their farms to non-Jews. They can still sell their crops. I think. I'm just as confused about this whole Shmita thing as you are.

Random questions here people. I am involved in a scavenger hunt type game here in the States and it has brought me to Israel. $ clues so far:
1.Need a passport with a blank insert
2. Hope you remembered your permit.
3. The area is known for hitchhiking.
4. Its hot there so grab a maccabee and relax.
